Fitness with a Purpose Program

The foundations of FWP are the 4 Pillars of Fitness for older adults: Strength, Flexibility, Balance/Agility, and Aerobics.  Everything we do is specifically designed to address one or more of these essential elements of physical fitness.  If any one is missing, your physical training is incomplete.

So what is the Fitness with a Purpose program and how does it differ from traditional fitness programs?  The first and most important aspect of FWP is that it is specifically designed to address the needs of adults over 45.  This is a unique program that I developed from the ground up and thereís simply nothing else like it.

Have you ever gone to a gym and spent an hour on a bike or stepper that goes nowhere?  You work up a good sweat, but what have you got to show for it?  The obvious answer is improved strength, improved fitness, and overall better health.  You felt great, but why didnít you stick it out?  Perhaps it lacked stimulation; perhaps it was the thought of working out beside those perfect physical specimens still in their prime; or perhaps it was just plain borrrrrring!

What if you could get all of those wonderful health and fitness benefits while you continuously learn new techniques and processes that will improve your mental, physical, and spiritual health?  Well you can!  My Fitness with a Purpose program is specifically designed to teach a meaningful, practical system of self-defense while helping older adults attain, and maintain, their personal fitness goals.

You can sweat as much or as little as you want and you can advance at your own speed.  There are no high impact movements, no sparring, and none of the advanced techniques that older adults tend to find challenging and intimidating.

Each class combines elements of aerobic training, strength, balance / agility and flexibility training, stress relieving techniques, and practical self-defense.
