“Through observation and first hand experience I know how daunting the decision can be when someone first decides to begin a new fitness regime.  Older adults are often concerned about the physical demands and potential for injury.  The experience of training with younger, stronger, faster students can sometimes be a bit intimidating.  Being closer to 60 than I care to admit I empathize with your concerns.  That was my motivation for developing the Fitness with a Purpose program.

My primary objective is to provide adults over 45 with the healthy lifestyle benefits of martial arts based training with an emphasis on strength, flexibility, balance, overall health and well being, using martial arts skills as the basis for ongoing training.  You will see  how martial arts is a well-rounded, safe activity for “older adults.”
