You know that you need to get active, both mentally and physically, but now comes the most difficult step; taking action.
Through observation and firsthand experience I know how daunting the decision can be when you first decide to begin a new fitness regime. As older adults we’re often concerned about both the physical demands and potential for injury. We’re often intimidated by the thoughts of training with younger, stronger, faster students, but can’t find an activity specifically designed to meet our needs and concerns.
Being closer to 60 than I care to admit I empathize with your concerns. That was my motivation for using my 22 years of training and teaching experience to develop the Fitness with a Purpose (FWP) program.
My goal is simple; I want to help you improve your quality of life. I accomplish this through a carefully crafted well rounded fitness program that utilizes centuries old exercises and techniques found in the martial arts. With emphasis on strength, flexibility, aerobics, balance, stress management, and overall health and well being Fitness with a Purpose just might be the activity you’re looking for.

Five classes a week to fit your schedule; Wednesday and Friday evening from 7:30 till 8:30 p.m., at Volpe Martial Arts & Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday at Waterloo Kung Fu Academy from noon till 1:00.!
